Richard is a founding partner of Squire Biggs.
After qualifying as a solicitor Richard worked for many years in London and Hamburg specialising in company acquisitions and disposals. Moving to the West Country in 1993, he became a founding partner of Over Taylor Biggs in Exeter.

In his professional life, Richard enjoys nothing more than working closely with clients who are buying or selling businesses. The satisfaction, he believes, comes from earning the respect of his client as a trusted adviser and delivering a professional but personal service which develops a clear strategy for his clients.
Richard is also very experienced in areas such as finance arrangements, reorganisation of company share structure, shareholders’ agreements, employment incentives, governance and franchising and licensing agreements. He also has particular expertise in relation to events/contract catering where he has been working for many years with clients based all over the country.
As well as handling solvent restructuring, Richard has dealt with many insolvency arrangements, particularly sales and purchases on behalf of or from administrators. Locally, these have included Axminster Carpets.
Richard also advises on a range of employment issues for clients.
Richard is a keen rugby and cricket supporter and also competes in triathlons.
